I know I know I’m a slacker. It has been a really long time since I have updated only because we’ve been so busy and having so much FUN! Both our parents came up to see us this summer. We took a couple trips to Utah and Colorado. We both were able to work the whole summer which was very helpful. Busy Busy! So here are lots of pics of what we did over the summer up until now.
Getting so close!
McKay had his last first day school Yeeee haaa! This is his last year of school “classroom” work. He will start rotations in May that will be most likely from Colorado to Washington. We are trying to get most of them in Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. There are 8 of them and they are a month at a time. I will not be going with him when they are farther away. Sad but it will be worth it when he is done and we are praying that he gets most of them in Utah or here so we can live together for that time. We are so excited! McKay has been putting so much into this and it shows by his grades and being on the Deans List. He is learning so much I honestly can’t even fathom having to know as much as he does. I am one proud wife!
Lots of Hiking
So Mckay had to take a music class this semester (weird I know) One of his assignments was to attend a concert. Well he got an A on that one! One of the hardest A’s he has ever had to earn. We went to Jason Mraz at the Red Rocks amphitheater in Colorado. He is an amazing performer with a great voice. Red Rocks is one place if you ever get the chance to go there for a concert it is worth it! The atmosphere and landscape is amazing.
Happy 4 years!
We also celebrated our 4th anniversary by going to Denver for the weekend. We really like it there. We have found some delicious restaurants in the past 3 yrs. and have figured out our way around Denver. (sort of ). We ate lots of good food, went shopping, swimming and we went to this gorgeous park in the middle of the city. There was river you could tube down, fun trails, hot dog stands and lots of people had their dogs, which was fun for us but we wished Sammy was there. Denver is a very active city they provide lot of places to run bike and hike. I could live there
My niece Gracie got baptized on July 4th This was one great event. She got fireworks and lots of them. My brother did a great job baptizing her. It was beautiful and boy did the tears flow. She is a very special girl who is growing up so fast and has a lot of family that love her especially 2 of them that might live far away but we think of her all the time. Love you Grace!

Easter, Snow and B-days!
The Easter Lily that my dad sent me. McKays B-day. Sean and Mckay relaxing
C is for Carter Man! He destroyed that cake.
Sean was not very excited to get sticky.
It was a beautiful day in Denver.
Can you see the snow balls starting to form on his fur?
Its Christmas here in April. Yeah! At least someone seems to like it.
Sammy loves the snow so much. He plays outside for hours just digging and rolling around in it. We throw snowballs and he just does not understand how is disappears but dang it he is going to find it!
For Easter weekend we took a trip to Denver with some friends and went to the Denver temple This was a great time especially because our friends have a 1 year old that we had the chance to watch while they went to the temple. We took Sean to IHOP and shopping. We had a really good time. He loves McKay.
Mary sent us an Easter basket filled with candy and an egg decorating kit and my Dad sent me an Easter lily. He gets me one every Easter along with my mother and sister in laws. Thanks!
We also had a lot of B-days two were our friends babies turning 1 which of course are always a blast. There was a lot cake and icing all over!
Then McKay had his 26th. We celebrated by going to school and working all day! That's what I call a party! Nah we did go to dinner then opened presents that night. I put a lot of thought into his gifts so I hope he really liked it.

Mexico
Last week, I was fortunate enough to be able to go on an amazing trip to Mexico with my parents and grandparents. Unfortunately McKay was not able to go because his studies would not allow it. He still wanted me to go, and of course I am sure glad he did because as you can see from the pictures we had a magnificent time. We couldn’t of asked for better weather the whole time. Definitely warm enough to get a great tan and cool off in the big ocean but not dying for shade and water. It is, for sure, the best time of the year to go. Our rooms were awesome, huge and with the great ocean view. The resort was breathtaking and to say the least Large! For example to get from one end to the other they had shuttles. There were tons of restaurants, stores, shows and activities, including kayaking and snorkeling, along with the biggest pools I have ever seen. The service was always available and accommodating. Always! ☺ The spa, of course, was one of my favorites, being a very peaceful place. We all received massages and mom and I got a mani-pedi right when we got to the resort.
So in all reality you don’t even have to leave the resort. Everything was all right there for you to enjoy, but we also did a few things outside of the resort. ☺ Just a few. We all went to Xceret, which is kind of like the Mexico zoo and adventure park. We got to be with and see lot of different animals. They had an aquarium and butterfly garden. Dad and I went swimming and snorkeled in the underground caves. Very cool! A little scary! There were a lot of shows about the Mayan culture and traditional Mexican horse show. Needless to say, we took a lot of pictures.
The following day Dad and I went golfing to the Playa Car golf course. It was very hard course for me but we did really well and I really surprised myself! It was such a beautiful course and in immaculate condition. It was so relaxing yet challenging. I must say as I am writing about it right now I do choke up a little because it was one of the best times I have ever had with my dad. Unforgettable.
The next day my grandparents, dad and I went to Tulum. We walked around looking at all the ruins and how the people used to live. I loved hearing how they lived, the things they believed and how they dealt with everyday situations. I am interested in reading more about it. My grandparents went back to the resort while dad and I went to the cutest little Mayan village. It was amazing that they let us go in their classroom and the little ones put on a show for us. The women of the village made us some food to eat that was very yummy, and we watched one of their religious ceremonies. I would have to say it was quit a humbling experience to see these wonderful people, how they live and how they enjoy the very simple things in life. Next we went to an underground spring, enclosed in a cave like a dome. To get there we walked down a 189 spiral stairs. (the guide told us that). The water was a little chilly but so clear. It was really refreshing and exhilarating.
I had the most memorable time spending the vacation with my parents and grandparents. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful life. This trip was unforgettable. I am a very blessed person. Thanks to McKay for letting me go and Thanks to Mom and Dad for giving me the opportunity.
